Sprocket Games

Oh, hello there! Welcome to the Sprocket Games page!

It’s kind of an early days thing at the moment, but if you’d like to check out the games I’m putting together you’ll find everything you need here. Instructions, files, whatever you’re after will be on this page.

At the moment, I’ve got a few projects on the go, but this one is ready to play. It’s a space exploration game called Pocket Universe where up to four players zoom about a hex board collecting resources from randomly discovered planets.  You can then choose to stash them back at your base for points or keep a few back to trade in for special abilities. If you’d like to try it out, download the Rules document as well as the tile sheets, follow the build instructions on the Materials sheet and off you go! If you’ve got any feedback, I’d love to hear from you – drop me an email on michael@littlemetaldog.com

Confused by the cracked asteroid rule:

“CRACKED ASTEROID: Place this tile on any Asteroid. The Asteroid now acts as an extra Planet but doesn’t count towards the twelve needed to end the game. Draw resources from the bag one by one and place them on the tile. Stop drawing when you duplicate one that has already been pulled (eg: two Carbidium). The maximum resources allowed on the tile is five. All players are allowed to mine this tile as normal.”

If there are only 4 resource types then surely the maximum allowed is four a fifth would always be a duplicate?

No, the duplicate is allowed on the tile. You stop once you pull the duplicate but still place it on the Cracked Asteroid hex. Noted though, that could be clearer :)

Ahhh. So the duplicate is counted as well, hence the maximum of five. Gotcha. :)
